If you’ve lost some or all of your natural teeth, dentures can replace your missing teeth and restore your smile.

Dentures also offer other benefits:

  • With dentures, you can still eat and speak with ease.
  • They support your facial muscles, which prevents sagging and premature aging.
  • Dentures can give you a confidence boost too! You can flash your beautiful smile whenever you want, without worrying about missing teeth.

At Day & Night Family Dental, you’ll receive dentures that look natural, fit perfectly and are completely comfortable. Call 910-354-2680 to set up a consultation.

Types of Dentures

There are three types of dentures: conventional full, immediate full, and partial. Our dentists will work with you to determine which type is right for you.

Conventional Full Dentures

A full denture, or complete denture, is used to replace all natural teeth. A conventional full denture is placed in your mouth after the remaining teeth have been removed and tissues have healed. Healing may take several months. During this time, you would be without teeth.

Immediate Full Dentures

Immediate full dentures are inserted as soon as the remaining teeth are removed. Your dentist takes measurements and makes a model of your jaw during a preliminary visit.

With immediate full dentures, you won’t be without teeth. But you will have to get your dentures relined once your bones heal. The bones change shape as they heal, which causes dentures to become loose.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture replaces a section of missing teeth. It rests on a metal framework that attaches to your remaining natural teeth.
