Dr. B.G. Harrison

Dr. Harrison is originally from Florida. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1958. He pursued his pre-dental education at Pensacola Junior College and Tulane University. He earned his DDS degree from Emory University in 1964.

Dr. Harrison served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, which includes serving with the 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam.

Following separation from active duty, Dr. Harrison practiced general dentistry in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

In 1976, Dr. Harrison left general practice to attend specialty training in periodontics at Louisiana State University Dental School. He maintained a private practice in periodontics in New Orleans, with a part-time faculty appointment at LSU, and was the staff periodontist at Ochsner Medical Institutions.

In 1995, Dr. Harrison transferred his practice to an LSU student that he mentored, and moved with his wife and dogs to the family vacation home in Northern Minnesota.

While in Minnesota, Dr. Harrison developed a part-time periodontics clinic. He also worked with another dental clinic on a part-time basis, which eventually turned into a full-time appointment.

Dr. Harrison has enjoyed the southeast area since his dental school years at Emory University in Atlanta. His wife has family in the Asheville area. Following some research, Dr. Harrison decided to open a clinic in Fayetteville to offer quality dental services at times that were most convenient to patients.
